How Dirty Feet Productions dba PlayCompete collects consent to send text messages, what we send, and how to stop. This page is public so it can be reviewed without an account.

One company, two names. This messaging program is operated by Dirty Feet Productions, the legal entity, which does business as PlayCompete and operates sports.playcompete.net. They are the same company: the registered 10DLC brand, the sender of every message below, and the party named in our Terms and Privacy Policy.

Where consent is collected

Consent is collected on the team registration form for a tournament, at the point a team manager enters their own contact details. The form is at:

That page requires the manager to sign in first, because the team being created has to be tied to their account. The opt-in itself is reproduced in full below, exactly as it appears on that form.

The box is never pre-ticked. A team can register without it, and nothing about the registration changes if it is left alone. Consent is given only by the person deliberately ticking it, and only for the tournament they are registering for.

Operational messages about an event the recipient has entered: field and location changes, start-time changes, weather delays and cancellations, and payment reminders for an outstanding entry fee. No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this program.
How often
Occasional — only when something about their event changes. Typically none at all before event week, and a handful on the day at most.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to stop immediately. Recipients can also untick the box on their registration at any time from their dashboard.

Message and data rates may apply. Dirty Feet Productions dba PlayCompete charges nothing for these messages.
Carrier liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
